Community Broadband

One of Dryden Town Supervisor Jason Leifer’s goals is to replace the patchwork of private Internet service providers with municipal broadband. Now in Phase One, the plan will provide high-quality Internet service to all town residents. Revenue from subscriptions will fund town reinvestment for generations to come.

The Town’s municipal broadband project – Dryden Fiber – is coming along, and construction is expected to start construction before winter comes. The first delivery of fiber optic cable, which will be used to build the backbone of the system, has been delivered.
