Rep. Greg Casar – “We have to be able to call out who the villains in the story are. You know, the Republicans have told a really consistent story since the beginning of the Trump era. Trump says your rent is going up because of immigrants. Your health insurance is getting worse because of wokeness. If Democrats just sit there and present some policy solutions, it’s like showing up with a policy book to a gunfight. I think we have to much more clearly say it’s not an undocumented migrant or an asylum seeker raising your rent. It’s a Wall Street hedge fund that’s run up all the housing prices, and we’re willing to stand up to those Wall Street hedge funds, who Republicans are trying to deregulate.”
