Meet the Candidate – Christina Dravis
CHRISTINA DRAVIS TOWN BOARD MEMBER – Christina was appointed Christ Town Board in January to fill a vacancy and is now running to serve her first full term. Christina has lived in Tompkins County since 2014 and in the Dryden Hamlet of Etna since 2018.
Christina is passionate about public safety and worked in 9-1-1 for nearly 30 years, mostly as a Fire Dispatcher in the San Francisco Bay Area. Locally, she managed the Tompkins County 9-1-1 Center and helped implement the Swift911 mass notification system (now known as SIREN). She also served on the Town’s Safety and Preparedness Committee and helped launch the Town of Dryden Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program. Christina is an Exterior Firefighter and Fire Police member of the Varna Volunteer Fire Company and is a huge fan of Little Free Libraries. In addition to her volunteer activities, Christina worked as an elections poll worker from 2017-2022 and works full-time at Trader Joe’s in Ithaca.
