Dryden Town Board – Candidates and Accomplishments

ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE DRYDEN TOWN BOARD
• Attracted over $140 million in public and private sector investments in just 7 years; brought in more than $10 million through major grants and loans for important infrastructure projects such as public broadband, bridges, water and sewer, the Dryden Rail Trail, and more.
• Started construction of Dryden Fiber, the town’s project to provide fast and affordable internet service to all residents, which is beginning to serve businesses and residents
• Initiated and nearly completed the Dryden Rail Trail with over $3.5 million in state, federal, county, and foundation grants
• Started to develop affordable, workforce housing by working with Tompkins County and the villages in Dryden
• Negotiated unprecedented deal to provide discounted solar power electricity to Dryden residents
• Earned Bronze status for participating in the State’s Climate Smart Communities Program • Encouraged fossil-fuel free commercial developments and negotiated significant investments in both solar energy production and safety improvements to Borger Station that are good for the environment and the Town’s tax base
